Situated on the Infraleuna Chemical Complex in Leuna, Germany, our 95,000 square meter (1+ million square feet) manufacturing facility plays a strategic role in our portfolio due to its technical expertise as a global leader in the production of taurates, a family of anionic surfactants.  The site also manufactures specialty surfactants and intermediate products that meet the diverse customer needs of our consumer and industrial business segments.

Our multifunctional facilities allow us to offer our customers fast, variable and highly flexible production. Our central location benefits from close proximity to our European partners and suppliers with direct access to key raw materials and outstanding transport connections in Germany and across the European Union. The Infraleuna Chemical Complex is directly connected to rail transport and offers multiple loading stations, allow us to enable reliable logistics processing right on schedule.

Vantage Leuna has made recent investments to expand capacity, increase productivity and evolve our emphasis on environmental efficiencies. Incorporating a sustainable business approach into its daily activities. the site has a robust quality and energy management system (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 50001), is engaged in a number of life cycle assessment (LCA) including product carbon footprint (PCF) projects, and mass balance schemes. To ensure good manufacturing practices, the site is certified in accordance with ISO 22716 standards.

Taurate Chemistry

Taurates are mild surfactants used primarily in sulfate-free shampoos, which are experiencing strong growth due to increased consumer demand for natural personal care. Vantage is one of the only companies in the world that is backward integrated in this technology and manufactures each of the key products along the value chain, from raw materials and intermediates to the finished taurate.
