Lipovol™ MAC is a pure, nourishing macadamia oil – one of the richest natural Omega-7 sources in the world – that provides multiple key benefits for beautiful, healthy skin and hair. It features high levels of monounsaturated fatty acids not found in other plant-based oils – the rare Omega-7 (palmitoleic acid) and Omega- 9 (oleic acid). Macadamia oil’s fatty acids are known to be ultra-moisturizing, and have a unique molecular structure that gives the oil better oxidative stability. Found naturally in sebum, Omega-7 also has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, brightening, and slip properties. Additionally, macadamia oil is rich in phytosterols (mainly sitosterol), squalene and vitamin E (mainly tocotrienols). Squalene and tocotrienols are known to have anti-oxidant properties, and may contribute to the oil’s good stability.
